Food Access and Security

Foundation Communities operates onsite food pantries at its residential communities and provides supplemental food at no charge for FC residents and the greater community.  The HFPP serves 14 locations in the city of Austin.

The HFPP provides healthy perishable and nonperishable items, with over 300,000 pounds of food distributed each year.

To further address food insecurity the Benefits Assistance Program assists individuals and families to enroll in SNAP and other food related benefits (TANF and WIC) to help offset costs of food shopping, thereby aiding families in recovering from economic losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
